Community Livestock Protection Services (CLPS)
To protect the beneficiaries from the financial risks and losses due to the death of pigs, a concept of Community Owned and Community Managed, ‘Community Livestock Protection Services (CLPS)’, is recommended as part of the Piggery Mission.
Objectives of CLPS:
- To Protect beneficiaries from financial risks and losses due to death of pigs.
- Encourage peer-to-peer learning among the pig breeders and fatteners.
- To introduce ‘Community Owned and Community Managed’ Livestock Protection Services.
- To Enable self-reliant financial practices in Cooperative Societies.
