Officially launched the mission by Shri. Conrad K. Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya and Shri. Kailash Choudhary, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India.

The Piggery Mission District Nodal Officers of both the Cooperation Department and the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department together visited and surveyed more than 160 Cooperative Societies across the State.

District-level sub-committee completed the due-diligence and submitted the list of potentially eligible Coops. to District Level Committee.

Revised Meghalaya Piggery Mission document issued incorporating suggestions and feedback received from Nodal Officers, Districts, Cooperation Department, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department and MLEADS.

District Level Committees scrutinized the list of potentially eligible Coops. and recommended to the Executive Committee for financing.

MOU was signed between MLEADS and MCAB for sanctioning loans to beneficiaries of the Piggery Mission.

State-level Loan Screening Committee Meeting approved the first batch of loan sanctions under the Piggery Mission.

First batch of Loan sanctioning letters are issued to 85 Cooperatives Societies for the total amount of Rs. 15,10,52,50 under the Piggery Mission.
